Sir, What would be LIC AAO 2013 cut off percentage?

What would be the expected cut off for LIC 2013 AAO exam, which is scheduled for May 11-12, is the buzzword for those candidates who are appearing for Assistant Administrative Officer. In addition, once the exam is over answer key sheet will be coupled with approx. cut score.

Talking about the buzzword, read cut off, in the last 3-4 weeks we have received a no. of queries where candidate have asked just one question – Sir what would be cut for LIC 2013 AAO exam? So I thought that it would be ideal if I tell you a little bit more about the cut off, be in for LIC 2013 or SSC CGL Tier 1 2013.

Folks you need to keep this mind that there are several factors, which affect the actual cut off. However, in the previous years we have noticed that for exam AAO the cut off revolves in the range of 55-60 percent. In the year, 2011 the English was very tough, but general awareness section was very easy. I mean to say that when these LIC people are setting the question paper then at times they make a section like Vocabulary and Comprehension, little difficult but at the same time the remaining two sections, Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability section would be easy. Therefore, this strike a balance.

The average cut off marks to get an interview call of LIC AAO:
If you are scoring in the range of 55+ percent then your chances are ok. But if all sections are easy then you need to score in the access of 65+ percent. Last year in 2012 those who got over 65 percent marks received the call for interview. For the year 2013 the total number of marks are 400 are those who would getting more than 250 marks after deducting negative marks would be having a better chance of getting an interview call. When I appeared way-back in 2003 for LIC exam then I got my interview call while I scored 63 per cent only. Just for the records, I never made in the interview.

What about 2013 cut off then?
If you are also wondering about it than the actual cut off can be decided once the paper is over and we analysis all the four sections of AAO. Only then we would be able to narrow down for LIC expected cut marks. My advice is that do not think too much about the cut marks, rather focus of getting as many question right as you can, because if you think that the cut  off would be high then you might end up attempting those questions which you should have left at the first place. And if you do the you would end up with a lot of negative marks.

Just for the information in 2012 the cut marks were 117 and do contribute once the exam is over in preparing us the answer key.
