DSSSB teachers exam syllabus, exam pattern for 2010, 2011

Below are some sections and syllabus for DSSSB 2010 teachers exams for various grade. As a matter of fact DSSSB syllabus and exam pattern for 2011 teaches exam will remain the same but apparently there will be different news year after year.

SECTION: A General Awareness: Questions will test the ability of a candidate's general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. Like news of national, international happenings. In a nutshell questions will be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matter of everyday observation as may be expected of an educated person. Though it sounds easy but you need to study a lot to make sure that you are well aware of the last 4, 5 months current events like sports, business, international affairs, business GK and news economics. As per the given syllabus questions will be pertaining to India and its neighboring countries, like India’s and neighboring countries History, Polity, Constitution, Sports, Art and Culture, Scientific Research, National, International Organizations, Institutions and Current Affairs, economics, General Policy, everyday Science and similar questions.   

General Intelligence and Reasoning Ability: The syllabus of General intelligence will have questions of both verbal and non-verbal types. Previous year papers for DSSSB show a lot of similarity between SSC, clerk and other such exams. So it is advisable that for this section one should study from bank PO or CWE exam book. Questions will based on problem topics like space visualization, concepts, solving, analysis, discrimination, arithmetical reasoning, decision making abilities, visual memory,  similarities differences, observation, Judgment, relationship, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series, analogies, series etc.    

General English and General Hindi: In addition to the testing of candidate's understanding and comprehension of the English and Hindi Languages, vocabulary, sentence structure, similar and opposite words, grammar, language correct usage will test candidate’s language ability. Arithmetic and Numerical Ability: The test of Numerical Abilities will cover Number System including questions on L.C.M., H.C.F., Discount, Tables and Graphs, data interpretation, Ratio and Proportion, Percentage, simplification, decimals, simple and compound  Fractions, Average, Profit and Loss, , interest, Mensuration, time and Work, Time and Distance etc.    

SECTIONS-B Post specific subject related questions, topics which you have studies during your graduation. The questions test one’s knowledge in the concerned subject domain and subject.  

The syllabus for Part -II Main Examination (descriptive type) will be as follows:­ The Examination will consist of descriptive type questions of 200 marks to be answered in 2 hours. There will be 10 questions of 20 marks each with option/choice in each question. The questions will be on the concerned subject trade, work, and qualification of the relevant post as prescribed in the recruitment rules and will be of the same level as applicable for the concerned post.
