SBI announces 20000 Clerical Staff Posts, written exam in November


Recruitment of clerical staff in State Bank of India.

In the mother of all banking recruitment SBI has advertised for 20000 clerks that bank would be recruiting in the next 6 months and so.  

Through advt. CR/2008-09/1 Central Recruitment and Promotion Department, State Bank of India, Corporate Centre, Mumbai invites on-line applications from Indian citizens for appointment in the Clerical Cadre posts in State Bank of India.

Ahmedabad: 1476 Posts

Bangalore: 1128 Posts

Bhopal: 1147 Posts

Bhubaneswar: 904 Posts

Chandigarh: 958 Posts

Chennai: 1183 Posts

Guwahati: 535 Posts

Hyderabad: 1856 Posts

Kolkata: 1945 Posts

Lucknow: 1622 Posts

Mumbai: 2980 Posts

New Delhi: 2253 Posts

Patna: 1278 Posts

Thiruvananthapuram: 735 Posts

Total: 20000 Posts

Minimum Age: 18 years. Maximum Age: 28 years (as on 01.07.2008.)

Age limit is: Candidates born between 30.06.1980 and 01.07.1990 both days inclusive are eligible to apply.

Mode of application: Only online applications will be accepted.

Dates to remember:
Registration starts on 31st May 2008 and it ends on 06th July 2008. The tentative date of written exam is Nov. this year only and it is expected that the exam would be conducted in two phases, as it is a mammoth task to hold an exam where nearly 30 lakh people are likely to apply.
